Paramo Cascada

These Paramo Cascada pants are incredibly comfortable against the skin, but may be too long and too baggy – meaning mud quickly works its way up the insides of the legs. There’s only a basic drawcord adjuster at the waist. These are effectively waterproof trousers however, with the breathability of normal pants, so they’re superb in bad weather. They’re too warm for milder days, even with the leg zips open and they look a bit too ‘full-on’.

Verdict: Fully waterproof trousers with the comfort and breathability of ordinary walking trousers. Perfect for bad weather but they get very warm on milder days and aren’t the most stylish pair.

Had these for about one year. Great in winter. Warm and wind proof. Let me down in very heavy rain when they let the water in very quickly and they where reproofed. Good venting down the leg but overall very baggy and not something youll ever look 'cool' in. Too heavy for summer. Another issue is what to do with gaiters. If you wear the gaitors on the outsde the water will run into your boot. If you wear them under your trouser then your trouser gets dirty and you legs are sweety and uncomfortable. For me I prefere a traditional seperate water proof trouser.

I love em. I've been using them for about 3 years now and still good as new. Only citicism from me is that they could use a few extra belt loops on the waistband and could do with at least one rear pocket

No more struggling getting waterproof over-trousers over the boots - that's where the Cascadas are brilliant. They're great in winter and on days where the weather is bad.

RE: Paramo Cascada

My wife bought a pair and loves them. Purely for the fact that I faff about deciding whether it is going to bet wet or dry and which trouser to take, whereas she puts on the same trousers wet or dry, warm or cold and there is no hassle. They are brilliant. We live on Dartmoor and the changeable weather makes choice of clothing difficult but Paramo take the decision making out and leaves you with just one option. PARAMO all the way for us!
