These rugged trekking shorts offer an excellent compromise between light weight and durability, with lots of useful features for the hill: a waistbelt, side pockets, UPF 40 sun protection and an extra comfort zone around the waist. With a slightly longer cut these were among our favourites on the hill and are definitely at the top of our, ahem, short-list, rating ‘Best in Test’. (Women’s Vertec shorts also available.)
