The stretchiest trousers out there by a country mile – stretchy in an elastic band way. This stretchiness really adds an extra level of comfort when walking over boulders or climbing. The fabric is lightweight and as quick-drying as the majority of similar fabrics. The trousers are cut a little wider in the lower leg than some, however, and there is no adjustment in the ankle, which can leave them flapping a little in strong winds. There is also a lack of any zip-closing pockets, although the two cargo pockets do have Velcro closures. Disappointing in the drying test, performing less well than even more cotton-based trousers, with the reinforced cuffs trapping moisture.
