Craghoppers Kiwi Winter Lined

£40.00

LFTO rating rating is 4

These winter trousers from Craghoppers are a superb fit for me and a good length. The elasticated waist, backed up with a webbing belt, is excellent. The fleecy lining is very soft and feels great against the skin. Basically a lined version of a normal walking trouser. They provide plenty of insulation and keep the wind out, but aren’t as weather-resistant as many, so are really better for colder, drier weather.

Colours: Elephant grey, vine, dark navy, black
Sizes: 30-42in waist
Fabric: Poly/cotton outer/brushed polyester lining
Weight: 670g
Women’s version: Yes
Contact: 0870 220 6604, www.craghoppers.com

Verdict: A warm, comfortable and stylish walking pant that’s ideal for easier winter strolls or for more exposed going if you carry waterproof trousers, too. Wonderful value for money.

Re: Craghoppers Kiwi Winter Lined

I usually wear the "Classic" Craghopper Kiwi's but finally relented and bought a pair of lined ones after Mrs Wilko kept raving about hers on a windy Monday in December up Skiddaw.

That afternoon I popped into Keswick and picked up a pair for the bargain price of £31 instead of the usual £40 at Winwoods (thanks guys).

I wore them up a windy Cat Bells the next day.

The difference was very noticeable.

On Skiddaw the previous day, my classic Kiwi's let the cold, biting wind through them.

Now with my fleece lined Kiwi's, the only way my legs know it's windy is by the material slightly flapping around them. No wind seems to get through.

I was so impressed, I bought another pair for £30 in the January sales.

The only problem is the " I told you so" speech from Mrs Wilko :smile
