Craghoppers Kiwi Cargo

£40.00

LFTO rating rating is 3
Owners' rating rating is 3.5
These lightweight trousers from Craghoppers fit extremely well. The cotton content makes them feel incredibly comfortable against the skin and elastic and belt loops fine-tune the waist. The cut of the legs is also excellent. In the dry they are spot-on, and even cope with drizzle. Once truly wet, though, they don’t dry nearly as quickly as the best in class. They do have excellent pockets though, including plenty of room for a map or guidebook.

Verdict: For dry weather use, or teamed with waterproofs, these are near-perfect walking trousers. If wet weather performance matters though, look elsewhere. Great for travel and leisure too.

Colours: Smoke, stag brown, elephant

Sizes: 30-42in waist, short (29in), regular (31in) and long (33in) leg length

Women’s version: No

These are brilliant!! I have just upgraded from Regatta Trousers and these are in a difffernet world although i do still like the Reggata's. Very comfy to the touch and excellent pocket arrangement with the ability to take an ordnance survey map and two zipped security pockets. Not been in a downpour yet that is why i have overtrousers.

I have used these for quite a few years and have found them to be almost perfect for British weather. They dry quickly. However, when soaked they take ages to dry. On their defence, they are not really designed for the amount of use/types of weather I have put them through.

Bought these back in Jan. and have found them the best walking trousers I have worn, very comfortable and the short leg length is just right for me.They have a good selection of pockets and the leg pockey will hold a map. They may not be the fastest drying after a shower of rain but they are not that bad and much superior than the old moleskins I wore a few years ago.In general a good all round pant at a reasonable price (very important to a Yorkshireman that last point)

Very comfy fit but not as easy to move in as some of my other trousers. Can dry from loight to moderate rain quick enough but anything on the heavy side leave them sodden for a while.

I've got a few pairs and the best are my non zip-offs. Very comfy, light and tough. I've done some hard scrambles in these and they are still in one piece and have offered good freedom of movement. The pockets are great and light rain just runs off (I use waterproofs if it gets heavier). I don't like the zip-offs for longer walks. Trousers are like faulse teeth, if they don't you they woun't fit.

I found these trousers to be awful. I found them baggy around the hips and to restricting around the ankles. I have worn them only a few times and found the more a nuisance.

The Trail review is spot on. A good quality trouser that is very comfortable, and can be bought in the right leg length. Have never really got them wet, as I always don the waterproofs in rain. Also good value, as they can be picked up fairly cheap, less than half RRP.

Craghoppers Kiwi

I have three pairs of these trousers. They are great, a bit warm in summer but a lot more robust than some others. The in built sun protection is a plus, (pale legs though). They don't perform great when wet, but thats what waterproofs where desinged for. I use mine daily for the bike to work and have had no problems with them. The cut is great, nice and active, not baggy! And the pocket combination is excellent. Price is great too, none of mine have cost me anymore than £20, compare that to some at £60, 70 or 80 and you know you've got a bargin.
