I bought one of these in a F&T sale for 100 pounds in August 08 after seeing some good words in Trail about them.
I think it is a good little tent but has some downsides but for the price I am quite happy with the purchase. I have used it in a variety of situations from -10 degrees c in snow in Glencoe to wet Lakeland weekends.
Ease of pitching is oh so simple with the external poles and is a 5 minute job almost whatever the weather or time.
Porch area is fine I tend to stow my gear in the tent with me as I camp alone and have cook stuff in the porch. The doors have a number of arrangements but I find the front guy rope limits the middle exit and so use the sides.
I am 5 10 and find I can sit up and cook in porch facing out but am somewhat cramped inside the tent as inner height drops reasonably rapidly to the foot of the tent. On the other hand there is plenty of floor space but then again I wouldn't want to share this tent with another bloke as it would be er quite friendly.
The tent gets reasonably small in acompression sack when I have packed this in my rucksack but for the weight 2.4kg it's still not offering the lightness and space of other tents out there.
The tent is pretty stable and waterproof for conditions I have been in though the inner is very close to the outer at points. I may not have sussed the inner set up properly but this is one of the downsides for me as shifting around inside I do tend to push the inner a bit and occasionally have got a bit damp as a result.
Overall for the money I have been well happy with the purchase but not sure I would have been shelling out some of the prices that are being charged for this tent.
