Terra Nova Voyager

£300.00

LFTO rating rating is 5
Owners' rating rating is 4.5
This two-person tent from Terra Nova is easy to pitch, stable, even in very poor weather, and light enough for one person to carry, let alone two. The interior is quite cosy, especially at the foot end, but the front porch is a useful size and there’s a small storage space at the rear, too.

Packed weight: 2.2kg

Dimensions: 14x52cm (packed); 128x215x103cm (pitched)

Verdict: A near-perfect lightweight backpacking tent.

its light enough to use on back packing trips as appose to the quasar, but can still be used by 2 people. yet strong enough to withstand anything thrown at it. i used it for a weekend in llanberis, snowdonia in a nasty storm, the worst ive seen there, and my little terra nova was the only tent left standing, it was rock solid. they always seem very bright inside with the yellow inner canvas. very quick to pitch. you get what you pay for

I've used lighter tents, but the Voyager is the one that really feels like home to me. Bombproof, with just the right amount of space for two plus packs. My only criticism is the flysheet needs retensioning in heavy rain as once it wets out a pool can form between the 'shoulder blades' of the tent, making it touch the inner.

Got mine for a tad over £200 and it a cracking tent. Used it for ten nights backpacking with a mate who is 6'4". Some kit had to stay outside but all the important stuff was kept dry. The weather was awfull on the backpack and the tent was spot on. If I had to pick something negative to say about this tent it would be that it would be better if the outer could be pitched first
