Nordisk Pasch Si 2000 2011

The Nordisk Pasch Si 2000 is a roomy one-person tent, very long and wide with an average height, which is fine for sitting upright at the door end. This means plenty of room for internal gear storage, which you’ll need as the porch is quite small, but there’s still room enough in the porch for reasonably sheltered cooking and leaving your footwear outside. There are internal mesh pockets for keeping bits and pieces handy. It has vents front and back, which can be manually opened and closed, and there’s a mesh inner door for added air movement. Pitching is straightforward and speedy with colour-coded poles, and the flysheet clips on via webbing buckles, which also allow easy tensioning adjustment. There are plenty of peg points and guy lines to stabilise the main pole. The Pasch comes in a compression stuffsack that reduces the pack size right down. The pegs supplied are the old-style aluminium type, which turned out to be easier to use but just as light as the up-to-date designs.
That tiny porch could be an issue, however, if you have to store your wet gear inside the tent, and cooking in the porch is impossible unless the door is open. The tall, blocky shape and sparse guying mean the Nordisk Pasch Si 2000 is better suited to less exposed pitches.
