This is a super-tough and super-stable 4-person tent that is ideal for mountaineers. It benefits from a 6-pole geodesic structure than is incredibly stable. It pitches inner-first, with the poles being colour-coded and slipped through continuous sleeves. There is a porch and entrance at each end, which is ideal when four people are coming and going. Each porch entrance easily stores a couple of rucksacks too. Inside you get lots more storage space thanks to the inclusion of a gear loft and lots of mesh pockets. For venting, the roof and sides of the inner zip out, which is ideal for summer conditions. But this is slightly smaller than other comparable tents and it’s really better suited to three-person camping in the tougher conditions required by adults and mountaineers, rather than budding family backpackers. It is also inner-pitched-first, so it’s perhaps not ideal for erecting in wet weather

Verdict: Buy it if you want a very stable and durable tent for extended trips where performance is top of the agenda.
