The weight and price of this 2-person tent are both great, considering what it offers. It is a 3-pole geodesic configuration, which is the most stable and spacious design. Pitching is easy, thanks to colour-coded poles and ladder-lock adjustment at the base. I liked the fact that the outer comes down close to the ground, to fend off side-driven wind and rain. The outer door has a central zip and rolls to each side, but you can also open it from the top, in order to vent the inner. The porch is reasonably large and takes two rucksacks with some space left to cook a meal. The inner has lots of mesh for more airflow. The inner provides decent headroom for two to sit up. Use this for backpacking and camping in wild, windy locations, and it should be ideal. But this is an inner-pitched-first design, so it is not ideal for pitching in wet weather. There is no adjustment at the pegging points, which can be a real pain if the site is rocky. The mesh inner means this tent is colder than some other options. The pegs are very sore on the hands, which is just annoying.

Verdict: This tent was Best in Test. It offers superb stability and weight for backpacking, but it’s not ideal for really wet weather as it’s an inner-pitched-first design.

Excellent tent, I recently bought one secondhand off a guy that'd used it for hiking through South Afrika (and for only £27 too!) It is luxurious for a 1 man tent, but plenty big enough for 2 + dog. At 2.2kg (as measured by me) its a little heavy to use as a 1 man, but in the summer I carry less gear so I don't mind the extra weight here. As a 2 man its perfect, with a large enough porch for cooking, plenty of ventillation and it copes well with wind and driving rain, despite the claims about the hugh cut fly. I can't praise it enough!
