This 3-season down sleeping bag’s fit stands out as being among the best here. It’s a ladies’-specific bag, and the sizing and cut help towards this. It’s not over-roomy, especially across the chest, and it somehow just feels more shaped. The hood with its baffle peak fits snugly without falling in your eyes – and that’s even before it’s drawn in. There is a big baffle that seals around the neck using press studs, and it draws in for increased protection. Other features include a taped baffle along side the zip, hanging loops and a small pocket. This really is a wonderfully cut women’s sleeping bag. Add to that a really good temperature rating, and you will not be disappointed. But at 1385g the Angel Fire is on the heavier side of the bags reviewed here, and although it’s not as heavy as bags such as the Robens or The North Face models, if you were carrying it for a long period of time you would certainly have to take that and the pack size into consideration.
