The Lifeventure Sleeplight 1800 is a sleeping bag designed with an emphasis on travel, so you get something called an EX3 coating against bedbugs, mosquitoes and odour build-up. The full-length zip that runs around the feet means it’s very versatile for warmer nights or milder climates, and you can open it out to make it into a duvet. It also comes with a waterproof stuffsack with a one-way air valve, so you can compress the air out of it to some degree. Finally, the stiff material either side of the zip means it rarely snags when it is used. You also get a small outer pocket for stashing a watch or phone. But the zip baffle is small and leads to multiple cold spots, which is a big drawback. The body of the Lifeventure Sleeplight 1800 was too short for six-foot me, but the hood was enormous and difficult to pull in, and it felt very bunched-up when I did manage to improve the fit. The shoulder and hood drawcords were frustratingly hard to use, and it was large when packed as there were no stuffsack compression straps.
