Review
This ultralight rucksack is very light at just 590g, making it the lightest 30 litre sack featured. But most importantly it can be fitted with the inov-8 Horizontal Bladder system, which fits into a pocket inside the lumbar and hipbelt area. This means the bladder can be easily filled without unpacking the sack, and the weight of the water is held close to the body in a stable position. There are pockets on the hipbelt too. The body of the sack has two mesh pockets on the front, plus four loops that allow gear to be stashed on the outside. The lid is a twin buckle design where the clips link to a compression system of webbing to stabilise the load. For extra comfort you get air-vented shoulder straps and foam padding on the back. A scattering of reflective piping makes it ideal for night action too. But the mesh front pockets do not get drawcords and are not strongly elasticated, so some care is needed in making sure anything stuffed in them does not escape. A single-clasp lid may be easier to fasten and perhaps would save more weight.

Verdict
This works very well when running, biking or hiking light and sets a new standard for fast and light mountain travel.
