Vaude Triset 35 + 8

£55.00

LFTO rating rating is 4

This daysack from Vaude has adjustable shoulder straps that help it to mould sweetly around your back, and the Aeroflex concave back system is cool and comfortable. You hardly know you’re carrying it, even when full, and the padded waist belt is excellent. This is a roomy pack, but the compression straps make it easy to tighten everything down when needed, so the load always feels stable. It has good-sized bellowed side pockets – perfect for a flask – and a useful lid pocket.

Verdict: Rugged and well designed, the Triset is a superb pack with good features and plenty of adjustment where needed. Excellent value for money, too.

a well thought out sac . comfortable to wear and has all the right features . may be heavier than some but built to last. bellows pockets tricky to access when fully packed but no more than comparable sacs. very roomy lid pocket for every thing you need to hand. outstanding value for money 5*

I have had this backpack for 2 years now and used it in the winter and summer; it’s a perfect rucksack! Although this is not a female specific bag, it’s a perfect fit. It has a main compartment is draw string top, great to stuff all your walking gear in, plus the top has an extra compartment, which I found very useful in the winter to store extra gloves and hats. Both are easily reached. Its compatible with hydration systems which is one of the many useful features, it also has two mesh side pockets and two extendible side pockets; both of these are very accessible, ideal for maps and cameras. Plus there’s the all important rain cover for the British weather, which tucks into the bottom of the pack. There are also elasticated straps for ice axes or poles. The rucksack features aeroflex back system which takes the rucksack away from your body; allowing for extra comfort and avoiding getting a sweating back. It has two straps one across the chest and one around the waist; which I do feel that this could be slightly bulkier by more padding but it does offer good support. It feels good half empty or full to the top, as it has compression straps allowing the rucksack to be secure. It’s a narrow bag and stays close to the body. This is a brilliant rucksack-prefect for those looking for a something a little bigger winter, yet still not too big for summer. This overall is a great buy with good quality features at a reasonable price.

I 'upsized' my pack when the kids started to come walking and the Triset was far and away the best value pack in the shop. For £50 I was getting far more features than other similar priced packs. The adjustable back allows plenty of options for getting the fit right, and the mesh panel is a godsend for me. It might not be as good as some but I find it incredibly comfortable. The lid pocket is roomy, as is the main compartment, and the compression straps let you keep everything nice and tight. Its been in a few downpours and even without using the integral raincover it has kept my stuff dry. On the downside - the mesh side pockets are too small to comfortably take a drinks bottle, and the bellows pockets are difficultto get into if the pack is full. Its also heavier than some. However, once its on my back I can honestly say I hardly notice its there.

A great day pack. I have been using this pack for over a year, and walked over 1000 miles, in all weathers, with the pack firmly on my back. I have so far had no problems and would buy more for my organisation / staff next year.
