This daysack from Vaude is a comfortable, stable pack that carries a full load very effectively. The harness is flimsy compared to the best in class, but the soft shoulder straps, which are fleece-lined to prevent chafing, are excellent. It’s a lightweight model that comes with a compass, thermometer, whistle and sit mat. The pale coloured liner and large main compartment make it easy to rummage around in, and it has an excellent concave back system.

Verdict: A well designed, feminine rucksack with some useful features, including a huge main compartment with a wide opening. The sit mat is a fantastic idea too.
