The North Face Terra 25

£60.00

LFTO rating rating is 3
Owners' rating rating is 3.5

This daysack from The North Face  has a long back, stacks of padding, adjustment at the shoulders and hips, and a very breathable, deep, channelled back system, making it a delight to carry. It’s very heavy though, even when empty. It’s over-elaborate and more clunky to use than many, though, and heavy for 25 litres. The huge lid pocket and removable back plate are good, which does reduce the weight, but all that padding isn’t needed, and bigger side pockets would be good.

Verdict: A good-looking pack with more padding than is necessary at this size. Lots of bells and whistles, but overall performance would be enhanced if it were to shed some weight.

Capacity: 25 litres

Main compartment: Drawcord/lid

Other features: Padded waist belt, harness and chest strap, two water bottle pockets, pole holders

I bought one of these new revamped Terra sacs cos I wanted a large rucsac to carry food drinks and clothing for me and my two boys. what I also liked was the over the top padding and all the pockets including a massive top pocket and two mesh pockets for water bottles which can be locked/unlocked by compression straps with buckles I use the base section for waterproofs ( easy access)and not really found the weight of this sac to be a problem as yet and removed back plate to make it more comfy N.B this review is for 30 litre version
