The North Face Base Camp Duffel

£80.00

LFTO rating rating is 4

This is the original modern classic kit bag that most others are based on. It’s made from PVC-coated tarpaulin, with oversized handles that allow the holdall to be carried as a backpack. You also get removable shoulder straps, compression straps and lockable zips. There is an internal mesh compartment, but no divider for dirty gear.

Capacity: 70 litres
Weight: 1415g
Material puncture resistance: 522N

Verdict: A high price, but an excellent lightweight yet tough holdall.

If there was any kit I could give 11 out of 10 for then this is it. I have a 90litre bag and its been around a bit USA Canada Norway Poland to name a few. Whilst trekking abroad we had to load / unload the vehicle and this bag will withstand anything It fell off the vehicle, got covered in dust (but sealed) and froze BRILLIANT !

Just got one for my birthday as my rucksac needed replacing and i think they're fantastic. Mines got a contour line pattern on it. Its comfy to carry on your back over short distances (10-15 minutes of walking)& very tough so will hopefully last for ages.

Bought two now in a month both 80 litres. First for son to take to India for 6 months - £80 in red. Second for me £39 blue. Only differnce is colour seems to be a blue uniquely on sale at GoOutdoors but for less than half price I can put up with not getting the banana yellow of my dreams ;-) Anyway - if you are in the market I suggest a trip/call to GoOutdoors as they are not cheapere anywhere else (even eBay) and even GO aren't listing them on their website.

Bombproof, dragged it all over the place and never let me down, sat in puddles for a few days and kept gear dry. The original and still the best

Fantastic piece of kit. Can be chucked, kicked, dragged and still will hold up.

Classic load hauler, I have two of them the small and the large, Great for lugging round airports and throwing around on trips. The backpack straps are a god send when the bag is fully loaded. I Always stuff gear in stuff bags when in the bag, so don't notice the lack of dividers.

I've got the mega 100+ ltr version. Fill it full of stuff and I cannot lift it! Cracking piece of kit though and bombproof.
