Yet another good, basic starter 41-50 litre rucksack from Regatta. If you have never been out on the hills but want to start then may I suggest you start with this. All the basic features are provided. The pocket on the front of the pack is a good size and will allow you to access an OS map quickly. You also get good-sized pockets in the lid and on the sides, plus an extra security pocket for valuable items like car keys. You can carry a walking pole if needs be and reduce the capacity if you do not fill the pack. It was also deceptively comfy for a pack that has not gone overboard with the padding on the back. But while it will satisfy the needs of less adventurous walkers, the slightly more discerning walker will find the pack somewhat rudimentary. The back system for example does not have enough adjustment, making it limited as to whom it will fit, and some high priced packs are a little more comfortable with some nicer extra features. It was a little smaller than its stated capacity.
