Review
This ultralight rucksack has a padded hipbelt with mesh zipped pockets; stiff back for comfort and stability; front and side mesh pockets with drawcords; front bungee gear compressor; compression straps; internal and external lid pocket; hydration system-compatible; more durable than most. But it weighs 874g; high price for a 25 litre sack.

Verdict
Heavy, but durable and well-featured for adventure racing.

RE: Macpac Amp Race 25 rucksack (2008)

One of the best rucksacks out there, I use the 25l and the 40l, on almost all my trips. The construction is second to none, fabric is strong and light with external mesh pockets on both sides and the front. The back support is designed to be used as a seat/sleep pad, although sleeping would be difficult. Mesh pockets on the waist belt are great for stuffing energy bars or gels. The shoulder straps feature bungies to hold water bottles add in the hydro bladder and this pack can keep you moving for hours, with easy access energy and fluids. Trekking, running, mountain biking this pack takes it all in its stride. The pack was designed for adventure racing, it works.
