The VO24 is one of the lightest packs tested, but it achieves this by compromising on comfort, making it less functional than most of the packs tested and therefore definitely best-suited to walkers who put weight first. The back system is very flimsy, necessitating careful packing if you’re carrying a flask or any other hard, bulky object, and whilst the harness is well-padded, it doesn’t do a particularly good job as the back system is just too flexible to direct any weight through it.
