Waterproof, courtesy of a fully lined main compartment and lid pocket that comes with roll-up closures, but it does add weight, and makes it fiddlier than most to pack and access. Aside from this, it’s comfortable and stable, and handles big weights extremely well, thanks to well-padded shoulder straps and hip fins. Fitwise, the channelled back is quite short; and overall, it seems quite small in comparison to most tested.
