An almost perfect compromise between weight and comfort, the Spectro is difficult to fault. The Aircomfort concave back system is cool, and the shoulder straps and waist straps are well-padded yet extremely breathable. The main compartment can be accessed via the traditional lid and drawcord or by a zip on the front, making it easy to get to stuff stowed at the bottom; and the lid pocket’s an ideal size for hat and gloves. The large mesh outer pocket proved ideal for wet clothing, while there are two deep mesh side pockets. Twin compression straps cinch everything down neatly. A lot of money but a lot of pack.
