Deuter Futura 32 AC

£65.00

LFTO rating rating is 4
Owners' rating rating is 4.5

Well-padded shoulder straps and hip fins make this Futura rucksack a comfortable pack to carry and there’s plenty of adjustment in the chest strap. It’s slightly shorter in the back than others at this price point. The Futura is about as good as it gets on the hill with excellent hydration system compatibility, a good rain cover and useful compression straps. Not sure it needs a split main compartment.

Capacity: 32 litres (plus four litres side pockets)
Main compartment: lid/drawcord
Back system: Aircomfort (concave)
Other features: Waist belt, side compression straps, front pocket, lid pocket, wet clothes compartment, pole holders
Colours: Granite/cobalt, granite/pine, fire/granite
Contact: 0191 296 0212; www.deuter.com

Verdict: The Futura 32 AC is a rugged pack that will pass any test on the hill. Still one of the best around.

I've only had this for a couple of weeks, but we gave it a day out in the Lake District and it was a joy to wear. Very simple to fit and extremely comfortable to wear even over bulk winter clothing. I'm not sure where you can pick one up but I found mine at the Out Door Warehouse. Here is a link to their page, however I am sure you can find it elsewhere as well. Deuter Futura 32

I bought this pack for my reccent expedition in Nepal. it has loads of pockets and i could fit loads into it. it's so comfortable to carry that most of the time i forgot it was there! the ventilation system is the best of anypack i found so far and the pack is extremely srurdy and tough (it survived 3 falls, being stood on by a yak and acting as a pillow whilst delayed at the airport. the pockets on the waist belt were especially handy aswell as the attached rain cover ( brilliant when its windy, you can loose it!). Even the emergency procedures printed on the inside of the lid put a smile on my face! The Ultimate Pacck!

A great bag. Been using it for 4 months in summer rain and summer fog day walks. Comfortable, adjustable, two usefully-connected main compartments plus external pockets, tough. What more could you want?

I wore the 42L version for some 12-14 hour days in the Indian Himalaya last summer with just a base layer. It can get a bit uncomfortable after 5-6 hours - though I suppose nearly anything would

Hey, I have this bag and i like it. BUT it is to small for me, I'm 6'2 and its at least 3' to short, so the waistbelt will be on my belly button or higher.
