The back system of this daysack is quite adjustable. Both the shoulder and chest straps can be altered to get a more precise fit. The hipbelt offers good padding, inward-pulling adjustment and a purse. The inward-pulling straps make the hipbelt easier to adjust and use. The pack’s main entry comes with a snow lock extension to keep out rain even if you overfill the pack. On the front there are two large flat, substantial pocket positioned one on top of the other. At £50 this rucksack delivers all the right features for heading out on the hill. Unfortunately most of the features could have been designed better. The walking pole and axe fastenings are really short and fiddly to use. The rain cover is loose with no means of attachment, and the two front pockets are annoyingly convoluted.
