H-shaped back system is good with a reduced contact area. It does make it a little wider than some of the others on test, though. The system also has a reduced curve that helps keep the centre of gravity forward. Perforated shoulder straps might look a bit NASA but they do a decent job of letting air in. The hip pad can dig in a little, but its almost circular design allows the pelvis to flex naturally when walking.
