The only jacket we looked at with its own snowskirt and an MP3 pocket; adjustable hood; plenty of pockets (internal and external, zipped and mesh); Velcro cuffs and drawcord hem adjustment. But it’s heavy at 1016g; it’s a ski jacket and thus better kept for the piste rather than the hill-walker. Tog rating 2.6

Nike ACG Shale Jacket

This insulated jacket weighs 404g; hem adjustment; two zipped, map-sized hip pockets; close fit; fashionable styling. But not as warm as most others; front zip does not get a draught baffle; no collar adjustment; no stuffsack or ability to stuff jacket into pocket; no cuff adjustment and cuff fit is very loose.

Nike ACG All Mountain Jacket

£200.00

This winter jacket uses Gore-Tex Performance Shell fabric, so extremely waterproof and very breathable; removable snowskirt; mesh lining adds comfort; pockets lined for extra warmth; chest venting. But 1025g (size L) is very heavy; other jackets use more breathable Gore-Tex Pro Shell; pocket access easily blocked by rucksack belts; hood fit and movement is not as good as others.
