The Meindl Magic Junior Mid feels quite substantial and has good stiffness throughout to provide support and protection on rough terrain. Rubber at the toe box and heel add a little extra durability too. Underfoot there is a reasonably grippy lug pattern for mud. But this has quite a low ankle cuff, so it’s not ideal for rough terrain.
