Eurohike Adventurer II 200

This synthetic sleeping bag from Eurohike is heavy and not as warm as some. It has lots of creature comforts, though, including a concealed pillowcase, an insulated hood and shoulder baffle, and a two-way zip. The softness of the lining and shell is excellent too.

Khyam Lightbag 150

Despite its name, this synthetic sleeping bag from Khyam is actually quite heavy. However, it packs down small and keeps you warm enough, helped by the drawcord hood and shoulder baffle. The cotton inner, which feels really pleasant against your skin, is excellent, although the outer rustles a lot when you move.

Wynnster Down 450

A low-bulk sleeping bag from Wynnster that provides surprising warmth, making it ideal for three-season use. The hood and the chunky shoulder baffle were impressive, with stud and drawcord fastening. The shell fabric feels a little flimsy, but the water-repellent finish does its job well. It’s quite long, which will suit taller campers.

This sleeping bag from Aztec is light and low-bulk, but not as warm as some. Despite this, the hood is very cosy and the shoulder baffle works well to trap warmth. The plastic feel of the shell isn’t great, but the NiteGlow zip pulls are very useful in the dark!

This is a heavy sleeping bag from Vango with 90 per cent down content, making it really warm. The deep hood is very snug and the shoulder baffle works well and is easy to adjust from the inside. The soft feel of the fabric is great, and the two-way zip and security pocket are also useful.
