Magellan Triton 2000

£530.00

LFTO rating rating is 4
Owners' rating rating is 0

The top-end Magellan unit has a large, clear screen and works with touch-screen technology as well as with the normal menus and joystick. It’s quite a lump in the hand, though, and weighs quite a bit, and like its less-expensive stablemate, it suffers from complex PC compatibility that requires exporting routes to a proprietary software before they can be downloaded to the receiver. It’s superbly featured with a camera, voice recorder, barometric altimeter and electronic compass, and it’s easy enough to use with a clear compass page and optional Topo mapping. Overall it’s a lovely bit of kit but not worth well over £500.
