Zamberlan Crest XCR/Venture 2010

£95.00

LFTO rating rating is 5

The Zamberlan Crest XCR/Venture won ‘Best in Test’ in 2009, 2008 and 2007 because it is very functional. As with most Zamberlan products it is built to take the knocks from a life outdoors. The Crest has a Gore-Tex XCR waterproof lining to guarantee dry feet. On the outside a suede leather and synthetics provide good durability while a rubber rand adds extra protection at the forefoot. The laces extend to the toe to provide a closer fit, which is ideal for scrambling and climbing. The toes are well-protected inside a stiff toe box and the heel cup is also very supportive. This support extends underfoot too, making the shoe ideal for rocky ground. The outsole lugs are 4mm deep and well-spaced to give a good grip in mud. This is a true all-rounder that suits all terrain. But this is not a ‘fast and light’ shoe as others are lighter and have a softer flex that some may prefer. The fit is slightly narrow, so if you have a wide foot then other shoes may suit you better. Some shoes have an even more aggressive lug pattern for an even better grip in mud.
