The North Face Vindicator

£90.00

LFTO rating rating is 3
Owners' rating rating is 4

This lightweight multi-activity shoe from The North Face weighs 1088g (pair, size 11). It has a stylish suede leather upper with mesh, Gore-Tex waterproof lining and a supportive heel cup. It offers reasonable stiffness in the sole for a variety of terrain; the Vibram sole has a good pattern of lugs for grip in the mud making this a good all-rounder. However, it’s expensive and a stiffer toe box would be useful.

Verdict: A good general outdoor activity shoe, but it doesn’t stand out as the best way to spend £90.

Well made, they really are the most comnfortable boots I have ever bought, beating my Meindles, Timberlands and Brashers hands down. Robust, good quality, very good support but most of all they are comfortable, bit expensive maybe (I bought them in Blacks for £95 but you can get them on the net a bit cheaper but you need to check them out for size/fit etc so it's best to visitthe shop anyway) you get what you pay for I always think. Vibram soles are a bonus for me and mean they should last. They look good too I am happy with them and I recommended them

After just a short walk on Wimbledon Common, I wore these shoes for the Norwegian 7-mountains-in-a-day challenge, covering 35k and 2400m total ascent. It was only down the very last mountain that they gave me a couple of small blisters (no; I hadn't taped up or anything!), which I think is pretty impressive! They were really comfy, much lighter than boots and kept my feet dry though most of the walking was through mud and they were covered. Absolutely brilliant.
