The Vibram sole has quite an aggressive tread pattern, which inspires confidence on rugged ground, and provides great shock absorption and traction on all types of terrain. The stiffness in the midsole is just right and a nice rocking action in the sole helps spur you forward as you walk, and helps keep your feet feeling fresh. Gore-Tex uppers will keep your feet dry in shallow puddles, and a gusseted tongue provides protection from unwanted debris getting inside.
