Good midsole support, which will be appreciated on rougher ground. Fitwise, they are made around an average last, and they have plenty of padding. There is an odd ridge running down the centre of the footbed, though, and this felt very disconcerting. In action, the very low ankle encourages fast movement but doesn’t offer as much support as most shoes tested. A Gore-Tex XCR lining keeps water out but breathes well enough.

Hi have a pair of these with the Boa lacing system ! they are brilliant ! laces are for loosers in my book now, I recently did some waling in very loose underfoot terrain in Ireland and they far exceed my expectations. will i ever go back to old sysle walking boots !! only in winter maybee. The Boa system works very well too, not a single problem with it in 6 months, if it does go a little loose then quickly adjusted and this is easy to do while still on the move. a good 8 out 10, only eight as they are not so good as an everyday boot on tarmac as can be a little heavy.
