Scarpa ZG 65

£100.00

LFTO rating rating is 4
Owners' rating rating is 3.5

These fabric boots from Scarpa feel a little harsh at first, but after one short walk mould to your feet perfectly, giving you a really snug and secure fit. The high, padded ankle cuffs are good, and the lacing system allows you to get a really good fit across the whole of your foot. The shape of the boot keeps your feet comfortably in place all day. Despite their light weight, they feel wonderful to walk in, with a lovely rolling action. The deep cleated Vibram sole grips well on all surfaces and the XCR uppers are waterproof and breathable. A good rubber bumper at the heel and toe protects your feet from knocks and keeps the boots looking scuff-free.

Verdict: A top quality boot offering support, breathability and excellent grip over all terrain. If you want an all-round walking boot that can handle the rough stuff yet still perform on easier walks, look no further.

I find the very comfortable and light to date have not leaked. I do hawever find them a bit slippy in mud and a tad sweaty when its hot. Overall great boot at a good price.

Bought these in a sale as a lightweight summer/country walking boot. They are very light, waterproof and comfy. But: they are my first ever goretex lined boot, and I find them sweaty. I've never had this problem with straight leather boots (and I've had lots). Goretex lined boots will be off my shopping list now.

I choose these to walk on the beach as I do a fair bit of costal walking and with so little metal I hoped the salt water wouldn’t cause problems (like it did with my Meindl which rusted very badly after one walk) So far I have been very pleased I wash them when I get home with fresh water like I did with the Meindl and no signs of rust after 9 months but very comfortable for the 8-10 mile walks I have done. In fact I wear them more than my other Meindl leather boots as they are lighter.

Re: Scarpa ZG 65

I was considering buying a pair of these...consensus here seems to be that this would be a good move?? I like the idea that they feel like trainers. Decisions, decisions!

have had these boots for nearly two years. have given them a fair ragging in that time and they have not let me down yet. I ha a few troubles with them rubbing my heels to start as the inside of the heel cup is very hard, but all is well now. comfy and i love them.

OK'ish. ***

Fairly comfortable but after 2 years hard use, the membrane now lets water through. The sole has worn under the forefoot more than elsewhere. The uppers are still in good nick. A bit too sweaty for me in summer.
