An excellent all-rounder with a mid-height ankle cuff and a versatile semi-stiff midsole that coped with all terrains. Plenty of protection at the heel and toe and stayed dry throughout the test as well as dealing well with perspiration when walking fast uphill. They also feel quite light – especially as they are so rugged and well-built. The outsole has a deep enough tread to cope with some softer ground but the toe and heel have larger lugs that maintain stability on firmer ground. Quite narrow and less padded than most so they don’t feel as instantly comfortable, although they’re by no means uncomfortable.
