These very supportive three-season boots from Salamon are, disappointingly, a bit too roomy in the toe. However, the lacing system ensures you can lace them up nice and tight to keep your feet in place and get a good amount of support. The inners, tongue and ankle cuffs are well padded for comfort, although quite warm. These are a really sturdy pair of boots, with attractive leather uppers and a nice chunky sole, which offer excellent shock absorption and grip well on all surfaces. The high ankle cuffs and the extra protection provided by the rubber toe protector are great. They are very durable, too.

Verdict: A very tough pair of walking boots – very supportive, although slightly too warm. If your feet are on the wide side, especially at the toe, they’re definitely worth a look.

Far and away the most comfortable boots I've owned...shame the soles have both started to delaminate. Not so good on mud or wet grass, bit of a drawback in Englnd, lol

I adore this pair of boots... amazingly comfortable, great grip and the fact that you can lace them up really tight means great support for the foot/ankles too. Fantastic in wet/cold weather they are a bit on the wide side as you say but I find them incredibly comfortable (think slippers!). Subsequently bought Salamon approach shoes which are equally as good!
