Raichle All-Degree Lite GTX

£140.00

LFTO rating rating is 5

The Raichle All-Degree Lite GTX is quite simply among the most comfortable 3/4-season boots you will find – well-padded in all the right places, easy to lace up and very supportive. The fit’s quite broad, and they are also really light.
Hard to fault, the All-Degree is light and agile enough to compete with most high- performance three-season boots, yet has the added bonus of being crampon-compatible when it does snow.

Verdict: Perfect if you only want one pair of high-level boots – summer or winter – yet only envisage strapping on crampons a few times a year. Best for broader feet.

I bought these boots shortly after they were introduced and have probably been the most comfortable boots I've ever had. The soles are now worn out, cuffs are worn to the padding and leak water in. I was pleased to win an almost new pair off Ebay and expected the same boots. They are however different in several ways which now make them uncomfortable to wear! The tongue is the biggest change which is not adjustable and less supportive when walking downhill, and something has changed in the heel area. I have tried various lace tensions but cannot stop my heels lifting, rubbing blisters. Can anyone tell me why Raichle had to change what was a very good boot?

RE: Raichle All-Degree Lite GTX

I have a pair and they are the best boot I have had to date. Used them for all different terrain, from hot desert, bogs, snow etc. The soles are hard so you can lose some grip vs a softer sole which will flex more. But when you are scrambling they are great. Before this I have had 3 other different pairs of Raichle boots, but the soles came off. One pair did not complete a full day of walking.

After posting this I noticed the stitching had disappeared from around the heel! I'm not particularly happy about this. Needless to say they have gone back to Raichle to be repaired or replaced.

Bought a pair of these bad boys about 6 months ago - they are perfect for scrambling, completely waterproof and very light.  Would recommend them to anyone.

Re: Raichle All-Degree Lite GTX

Loved mine , the green ones but.The company appear to acknowledge that there ia problem with the build/glue.Mine went back...company great and repaired them but only one survived the test.Second time they refunded me .The boots were brilliant in every way for over a year. The re-vamped All degrees appear to be a different boot ...grey ones. The ankle support lace eye does not give the pull or wrap that the old boots did and it seems to be not as set back..this meant on a personal level my foot had more movement in them. The best boots that I had ever worn seemed to have changed. If they fit you right they will take you from the valley floor to the mountain top and through the snow ...happily.Crampon not tried with them but they do take a strap on.
