The Peter Storm Skiddaw weighs 1316g (pair, size 8); full leather upper for maximum durability; waterproof lining; solid toe box for maximum protection; good heel cup for support; good outsole lug pattern for grip. But it has a very flexible sole unit; relatively low ankle cuff compared to most boots; not as well-cushioned as higher-priced options.
Verdict: For the price the Peter Storm Skiddaw is hard to beat, and it’s fine for easier terrain, but the very flexible sole is a drawback on rockier ground.
