I bought these 5 days before a 2 week trip in Iceland. Only wore them in the house before travelling, so was a little concerned they might cause problems. How wrong was I, not a single blister or rubbing on the whole trip. They were worn from breakfast to bed with plenty of miles inbetween. The sole does pick up stones easier than some boots I've had but I didn't find it a problem. Walked up a volcano that was covered in loose lava, scrambled a bit and walked on a glacier with crampons. My partners brashers were a complete mess on the toe but mine were unmarked thanks to the toe box.
I found these to a be an excellent fit over all others in this price and some more expensive boots. Can't wait for my next walk in them.
