Meindl Burma Pro MFS 2011

£180.00

LFTO rating rating is 3
Owners' rating rating is 3

The Meindl Burma Pro MFS features nubuck leather; Gore-Tex waterproof lining; memory foam; rubber rand for durability; excellent sole unit for general hill-walking; proven performance and frequent Trail’s  ‘Best in Test’ winner. But its weight of 1948g (pair, size 11) is just too heavy by modern standards; the price is too high compared with other options that provide most of what most walkers will require.

The Meindl Burma Pro MFS is a classic hill and mountain walking boot, but newer designs have advantages in terms of weight and price.

Had these boots for 3 months now and everything was fine, great fit easy to wear and comfortable from day onw. However regarding the waterproofness of them one the first torrential downpour (5 Hours in wind driven rain up Wetherlam in the Lakes my feet were wet through after 2 hours. Had to squeltch the rest of the day with wet socks. very dissapointed in this considering the price. Will apply Nikwax and see what they are like next time.
