These sandals from Lizard are instantly comfortable, with great cushioned footbeds and soft but supportive suede uppers. Three adjustable mesh straps ensure an excellent fit and they flex well at the toe. The soft footbeds provide good shock absorption, the straps are supportive in the wet and dry, the bumper offers top protection, and the stiff midsole is excellent.

Verdict: These aren’t cheap, but if you want a tough walking sandal that also works well in the wet, look no further. They make attractive casual wear, too.
