A high ankle cuff and rather sloppy fit makes these shoes feel a bit like an outdoor slipper. They are let down by the lack of support offered by the really soft midsole and very squashy suede and mesh uppers. The lacing system is a little awkward, and the bulky tongue means it’s quite hard to achieve a secure fit. The sole grips well on hard ground, but there isn’t enough shock absorption for long walks on tough terrain. The high ankle cuff will, however, help prevent water spilling in over the top.
