A beefy boot with a broad last that will suit walkers with wide feet. It has a high and supportive ankle – perfect for uneven ground – and a stiff midsole that protects the feet when it gets really rough. A solid toebox and heel counter also help. Against them , they are heavy and quite hot, which may restrict use in really warm weather. They kept water out well, breathed okay, and the lacing worked superbly to get a stable fit. Expensive, though.
