Plenty of padding makes the Banks feel as comfortable as slippers. Be warned, though – lots of padding and a Gore-Tex lining will result in very sweaty feet in warmer weather. The suede uppers are really soft and the fit is especially suitable for women with wide feet, since the laces don’t allow much room for adjustment. The midsole is fairly soft so they’re best-suited to low-level, easy-going terrain. The Vibram sole provides excellent shock absorption and grips well, and Hanwag will re-sole them if they wear out!
