Contour Fell

These fabric boots from Contour are not the best fitting, being broad and roomy at the toe, yet with a fairly narrow mid section. They’re not helped a lot by the lacing, which uses only five eyelets rather than the usual six. They’re rather heavy and that broad toe makes them feel quite clumsy. The midsole is pretty flexible, making them better for softer/easier going, while the deep tread pattern works best on mud and soft ground.

Verdict: Budget-end boots that are well made from good materials. A little too soft for high level and rougher terrain, yet clumsy and quite heavy for easier surfaces.
