Brasher Tora GTX 2011

£60.00

LFTO rating rating is 5

The Brasher Tora GTX is a new boot that appears to be a good development of the Chichon, which has won this test in recent years. The outsole is very aggressive with good stiffness, making it ideal for rougher terrain. The upper has a Gore-Tex lining to keep out the wet plus a very good stiff toe box and a reasonably high ankle cuff.  But a full leather upper may be more durable in the long term, although no doubt the speed that kids’ feet grow will mean this is not an issue for most users. There are lower-priced options that are softer on the foot than the Brasher Tora GTX, which less frequent valley walkers may prefer.

Upper 1.6-1.8mm suede and fabric; Gore-Tex waterproof lining
Sole Brasher rubber, EVA cushioning
Sizes 12-6
Weight 728g (pair, size 1)
Made in China
Stores in the UK 32

The Tora GTX is another superb kids’ boot from Brasher that looks set to become a benchmark product for younger walkers. It won Trail’s ‘Best in Test’ accolade.
