Brasher Diabolo Low XCR

These multi-activity shoes from Brasher are well padded and low-cut, and the mesh uppers mould to your feet straight away. The lacing system ensures a really secure fit, and I like the softness in the tongue. Despite having a chunky, grippy sole and waterproof XCR lining, they are light, and feel equally at home on the trail and in the street. Despite the low cut, they’re surprisingly supportive over most types of terrain. The chunky sole grips well on all surfaces, especially rock, and they’re exceptionally breathable and easy to walk in. The Gore-Tex lining keeps your feet dry, while the reinforced toe and heel provides excellent protection from rocks.

Verdict: Lightweight, breathable and supportive, these shoes are well-suited for all types of terrain and are definitely worth a try, especially if your feet are on the broad side. A very fair price for a top-quality shoe.
