This is an excellent low-priced 4-season boot, which benefits from most of the key essential features. The Upper is one-piece leather, and it is nice and stiff to resist pressure from crampon straps. The lacing extends close to the toes, for a really great fit, while the ankle cuff is high enough to provide support yet padded enough to be comfortable. There’s a waterproof lining too. Underfoot you get a stiff Vibram sole unit with clip-in crampon lugs at the toe and heel. The outsole lug pattern is ideal for snow, being deep and aggressively designed. But try a larger than normal size with this, as it appeared shorter than it should be. The footbed has a raised arch, which cuold be irritating, and you may think this is worth swapping. The boot doesn’t have the smoothest rolling action compared to some boots, but for more technical ground the stiff sole is ideal. You don’t get the high rand of some higher-priced boots.
