The Berghaus Torc ST weighs1728g (pair, size 11); Gore-Tex waterproof lining; rubber rand around much of the upper for maximum durability; extremely aggressive outsole lug pattern; stiff upper and sole for rough terrain. But rubber on upper bunches uncomfortably at flex point; all that rubber is likely to make this boot hot and sweaty.
Verdict: The Berghaus Torc ST’s over-rubberised upper bounces this down the ratings, but it has good grip and good sole.
