Review: Performance is excellent both in wintry conditions and as a high-level mountain walking boot. The fit is very broad and boxy, but you can get a stable fit with careful lacing, courtesy of a well-placed locking eyelet that makes it easy to get the right tension. It has a high ankle cuff that provides plenty of support traversing steeper slopes, and the padding felt good all day. A Gore-Tex membrane keeps feet dry, and a deep tread pattern provides plenty of grip on mud and snow, as well as rock.
